Taking place on

With an apprenticeship at sea from the tender age of 16, Keith went on to become a River Pilot on the Severn, safely guiding 5,500 ships between 1969 and 2005.

Keith will talk about his life on the river, including working on the river’s navigation lights and the second Severn Bridge crossing, as well as being a founder member of the SARA Life Boat Crew back in 1986. He has also been a keen salmon fishermen all his life, and was one of the last few to hold such a licence.
