Cotswold Canals Trust – Past, Present, and Future Restoration

Taking place on

20th August - Village Hall

The Cotswold Canals Trust is a charity whose aims have been to protect and restore the Stroudwater Navigation and the Thames and Severn Canal, restoring navigability on the two waterways between Saul Junction and the River Thames. Once a vital trade route for the wool industry, these waterways fell into decline with the rise of railways and road transport. However, astonishing volunteer restoration efforts over the last fifty years have brought new life to these canals, preserving our history for the benefit of the community.
