One of the best ways you can support the Slimbridge Local History Society is by becoming a member. Membership is open to anyone - whether resident in the parish, the county or further abroad.

Membership benefits include -

  • Free entry to all presentations by guest speakers in the village hall (including refreshments afterwards)
  • Access to the History Drive - an online archive of the society’s records including maps, personal histories and photographs..
  • The opportunity to join in History Society Research and Investigations.
  • Invitation to outings during the year. (Small additional charges may apply)

Annual membership runs for a calendar year from the society’s Annual General Meeting in February and the fee for 2026 is still only £10. You can pay this on the door or by printing and posting the form you can find below to:

A new innovation for this year is that under 16s accompanied by an adult can come to the talks free of charge.

Visitors are most welcome to our presentations. The entrance fee of £4 can be paid on the door.
